Potatoes

Onions

Carrot

Parsnips

Celery

Swede (Swedish turnip)

Soup mix (found in a packet; dried barley, split peas, lentils; soak overnight)

Diced tomatoes

4 cups of stock (Vegetable broth or chicken broth)

2 cups of water

Bring to a boil and then simmer for about 40 minutes

The chef uses olive oil. To save calories simply water saute your vegetables by placing the vegetables in the pot, heating for a minute or two and then adding water by the Tablespoon until the vegetables are cooked.
